Use the discussions

Every guide on this site has a discussion area underneath it. Post your question there — how to find a setting, why a template won't load, what a Chinese menu item means — and it stays visible for the next reader with the same problem. That's deliberate: most Jianying questions repeat, and a public answer helps everyone, not just one inbox.

Before posting, a quick search of the site is worth it. The homepage guide answers the common install and safety questions, and the blog covers the English-interface workarounds in detail.

Corrections and updates

Jianying changes constantly. If a version number, menu name, or step in one of our guides no longer matches the app on your phone, tell us in the discussion under that page. Say which version you're running and what you see instead — that detail is what lets us fix the guide fast and get it right.

What we can't help with

We can't recover your ByteDance, Douyin, or CapCut account, and we can't fix bugs inside the app. For account problems and official support, use the help channels on jianying.com or capcut.com — they're the only ones with access to your account.

We also don't take requests to find mod APKs, unlocked versions, or ways around the app's paid membership. Those files aren't official, they aren't safe, and we won't link to them.

For anything else — feedback on the site, a topic you'd like covered, a translation correction — the discussions are open. We read everything posted there.

How fast do we reply?

We check the discussions on most days, and straightforward questions usually get an answer within a day or two. Questions that need us to test something in the app first can take a little longer — we'd rather give you steps we've actually tried than a fast guess. If your question is about a specific guide, post it under that guide rather than anywhere else on the site, so the answer lands where the next reader will look for it.
